What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We take the security of your data very seriously and will not disclose it to any third party without your permission.

This includes names and email addresses for our newsletter or any other correspondence we have with you. This is stored in our self-hosted Ghost blog on EU servers with Digital Ocean.

We plan to send correspondence whenever we have something worthwhile to notify you with, only related to content or webinars hosted via this blog. All correspondence sent will have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email or newsletter.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data via the Disqus plugin. They might store your cookies, IP address and related profile information. More information can be found on https://disqus.com/.

Contact / registration forms

The forms used to regsiter interest for our upcoming webinars are stored using Google Forms. More information can be found on https://policies.google.com/.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to attempt to understand this website’s user activity. Usually this comprises of looking at the stats and sighing a lot, so it is unlikely we will be using the data presented to us, except which keywords people use to find us, and which post headlines attract the most readers. Who we share your data with

Some webinars might be done in partnership with charities, non-profit organisations or publications. If there is a need to share any data, we will mention it on the registration form. We will not share your data with anyone else.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have interacted with this site, you can request to receive more details about the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
